Join The Fresh Food Factory Market (FFF Market), its non-profit partner, the United Nation of Individuals Fighting Impossibilities (UNIFI), and the Ward 8 community in our fight for food and financial equity!

As a catalyst for food equity and economic development east of the Anacosita River in Washington, DC., since its inception, May 2019, The FFF Market has partnered with The Fresh Food Factory Market in distributing fresh and packaged healthy food to residents in the food dessert and food swamp neighborhood of Anacostia and the greater Wards 7 & 8 communities.

Your food donations will increase healthy food consumption while reducing hunger and food waste along the supply chain.

In the US, 40% of food is wasted, 1 out of every 6 Americans are hungry, and currently 1 in 5 children in Washington, DC are at risk of hunger. Ward 8 has a child poverty rate of 49 percent.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rate has increased, and the need for food, HEALTHY FOOD access is paramount. These Wards have been more effected as our residents with weakened immunities have been the most infected. Since this crisis, we have distributed weekly Corona Care boxes/bags to more than 789 residents in need.

Your contributions will offer consumers exposure to and the ability to consume healthier food options that are not readily available to them east of the Anacostia River, as well as aid the organization in our ability to train staff and local residents who participate in our workforce exposure and culinary programming.
